Haven't heard a response from Kyle in a long time to questions about Paragon.

I am sorry, but I'll have to strongly disagree with you!!

As Kyle said in his now famous speech, "Paragon is not rocks, trees, or dirt.....Paragon is everyone standing here. They cannot take that from us!"

Paragon is much more than a "place". It is a state of mind!
Think of the many, many people who first learned about 4 wheeling at Paragon. They learned lessons that will stay with them, no matter what trail they are riding on, or even if not on the trails. And just think about the thousands of people who became close friends while there.
If Paragon really were dead, we would not be here posting. I don't know about the rest of you, but my shortcut to this site is still entitled PARAGON, not the Badlands.
So, Paragon will NEVER, EVER be dead!!! The location may have died, but not PARAGON!

ok...let me rephrase...the thought of Paragon OFFROAD PARK still being a valid business and place to wheel is dead :P

dont get me wrong i want pap to come back as much as the next guy but what incentive does kyle and steph have to come back? more fighting with the locals? more money in lawyers?

they got a successful thing going with the badlands....there is no incentive to step back in to the business quagmire known as PAP.

just tryin to be realistic here

Merry Christmas everyone. And to Kyle and Steff, May you have a prosperous new year at the Bad Lands and may you come out on top of all your legal struggles.

Happy New Year!

I have to agree with Lee, Paragon is not dead. Kyle and Stef. have a large vested interest in PAP, with the legal action still going on. Yes, they may have the Badlands and are doing well with that, but they are always looking to expand with new land and I am certain that they have not given up on PAP either. How many memories do you all have from Paragon? If you have at least one, PAP is not dead. I, personally, have a ton of memories. I met Kyle and Steph. about 6 months after PAP opened and became friends with them at that time, since then I can remember watching Paragon evolve to the NEUROC series and all of the expansion of trails to accomodate hundreds of wheelers each weekend, and I got to write many articles for different magazines, thanks to Paragon. From that 10'x10' canopy tent at the first staging area to the upgrades and base building they put in, from no electric, to poles being put in the ground to carry the elec. to the trailer. I cannot count how many friends I have made as a result of going to Paragon over the years, as I am sure many others have done the same. Lee, like you, my shortcut is Paragon, not Badlands.

Well, this is my first post here on the Badlands forum...

But, let me tell you this. I was privelidged to have had access to PARAGON several years to it becoming PARAGON.

OMG, you talk about an off-road adventure...It was just that and as the years went by it simply became more of an exciting trip each and every time.

From entering in the property through the Bonner Property up until the last day crawling in the upper entrance I will forever hold those memories.

Kyle & Stephanie are "Class Act" people...!

I know that Paragon was someplace that everyone loved from reading your posts, but with bad can come good. The Badlands has went from ok to a place I want to go to. They are constantly putting money into the place to make it better, Working with Racing Series to have races put on, Getting the MX tracks put together and actually taking care of them, enforcing rules.

Thanks Kyle and Steph.

Amen!! Paragon was awesome!!

If Paragon didn't close up - Steve and I would probably still have a jeep and we'd still be wheelin.

It's a shame..... I'd still love to see them (or someone) come back and open that up again. I'd consider buying and buidling a new rig for that!!!

(ok, I'll shut up now. Just popped in to see if there was any news)

Amen! I sold my buggy after the Park closed up.

And SSJeff...you are completely correct. Our loss was your gain! Enjoy what you have, and don't take them for granted! The Knosp's are great people!!

Has anyone heard anything as far as new updates on this in awhile? I would imagine the land is just sitting there with nothing going on now as the airport idea has fizzled.

Thats cause The Paragon scandle wasnt big enough. It only effected the Knosp's, employee's and patron's directly. Some others were affected but not enough to make a stir like this scandle. To the general public PAP getting shut down for a cargo airport was great. It would bring job's to the area and all that good stuff. When the Airport idea failed it was out of sight out of mind and PAP was out of the general public's eye.

Shame that this land is sitting here becoming overgrown when it still is the best place I ever wheeled.

Put a article in the local paper on your own. Just be careful on what you say and run it by Kyle first. I dont know if they still have legal action going on or not so dont make claims you dont understand or have facts to back up.

Figuerd I post this here cause most of you who read this are from around where paragon was. Northumberland county had a meeting to propose an off road park on 6000 acres of county owned land! I believe they already have or are trying to get funding for it. I found out about it on jeep jamborees face book page. There will be two more follow up meetings. I will try to post when they will be.

Nice. Sounds like it's hitting quite the roadblock now.

Odd I was at the town meeting and there seemed to be VERY few against it.
